Water, sand, and vegetation are evoked in the interpenetration of their colors and reflections. The beauty of the place had been described to me many times, with great enthusiasm, by my dearly missed friend Massimo Costa, also a seaplane pilot. Finally, in the fall of 1996, while returning by car from a work trip to Grosseto, I was able to see it for myself and was left literally speechless. On my agenda, I had written the words \u201cturquoise - emerald - crystal - colored reflections - sun - silence.\u201d \nTo represent it, I chose to focus on several distinct areas to prevent the turquoise tones from overwhelming the emerald ones, and vice versa.
