A prevalence of more earthy and “spurious” colors conveys the charm of the enchanting marshland environment that inspired the work. Water, sand, and vegetation are evoked in the interpenetration of their colors and reflections. The composition manages to convey the exact feeling of what it means to be enchanted by the balance of an ecosystem.
The author explains the genesis of the work:
The beauty of the place had been described to me many times, with great enthusiasm, by my dearly missed friend Massimo Costa, also a seaplane pilot. Finally, in the fall of 1996, while returning by car from a work trip to Grosseto, I was able to see it for myself and was left literally speechless. On my agenda, I had written the words “turquoise - emerald - crystal - colored reflections - sun - silence.”
To represent it, I chose to focus on several distinct areas to prevent the turquoise tones from overwhelming the emerald ones, and vice versa. This way, the light shades of the sand covered in crystal-clear water also found their place, along with some primary colors bouncing off a paddle and a boat pulled up on the shore.
All reproductions are offered in a maximum number of 9 copies regardless of the materials chosen.
